update on job 160: opower
I gotta hand it to opower -- they are pretty quick on the draw. yesterday, applied. yesterday, rejected. none of this stringing you along bs. I like that.
I got a hand addressed rejection letter from a retail job at Penzey's spices. More than I expected for not even interviewing with the place. Classy? Or old-timey? Or waste of paper-y?
Thanks Moirin! Wow, a hand-addressed letter!? Impressive! Did it smell nice at least? Not sure about classy... rejection is rejection. of course, it is notable and blog-worthy... probably helps them to keep a customer. I am imagining that customers are likely the ones who apply for jobs there. But you never know. Speaking of spices, remember when we talked about bay leaves? Someone told me that some are poisonous... that true?

ReplyDeleteI admire your perseverence, Kev. It will pay off!
